Sew Prayerful Ministry

"Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone — especially to those in the family of faith." Galatians 6:10 (NLT)

Many people at Starkville GMC serve Jesus each week, though in different ways. One such group is the SEW PRAYERFUL quilt ministry. The Sew Prayerful Ministry makes quilts, baby gifts, and other smaller items as tokens of love for those in need.

Quilts (limited to one quilt per family) are lovingly made and delivered to Starkville GMC members and regular attenders who are dealing with serious or advanced illness. Bundles of three burping pads are made and given to new moms (eventually the Sew Prayerful group will transition from burping pads to baby quilts). In addition, smaller gifts like bookmarks are made and mailed in “prayer cards” to Starkville GMC members and regular attenders for a variety of occasions – thanks; sympathy; get well soon notices; and encouragement.

The Sew Prayerful Ministry meets:

Thursdays, 1:30 – 4:30 PM

Starkville GMC Church Office

The group gladly welcomes newcomers and accept donations of 100% cotton fabric for use in their projects. They also want to know when there is a need for one of Sew Prayerful’s gifts, Starkville GMC is thankful for this group!
